Meet Julie Lang, LPC

I am over-the-top passionate about helping caregivers and kids alike reach their full potential. I care about your success.

Can’t Keep It Together?

Consumed and completely worried that your child isn’t going to get better, you can’t seem to sleep at night. The panic and fear feel like your “usual” and you don’t remember how you felt prior to your child’s struggles.
Not only that, but you feel guilty. So, so guilty...that you can’t keep your cool. You can’t seem to keep it together when your child is struggling, lashing out and shutting down. The anger just lights up, like that one time your best friend overdosed the Labor Day bonfire with gasoline…

Laying awake at night, like the good parent that you are, you think the problem to death because you have to do something. Conversations with others feel hazy because you're consumed and distracted with the fight you and your child had that morning.

You avoid Facebook and Instagram because all the perfect parents and children on there make you sick...or you just keep cry-scrolling while you're supposed to be typing up expense reports at work.

This is as far as you’ve gotten. The feeling of hopelessness you feel, the worry, and the guilt feel like your new best friends.

You want your child to thrive, to feel better, to find relief and you just don’t even know where to start. And then bring in the fear of them being in “counseling or therapy” and being bullied or alienated because of it.

But what if it could get better?

What if you could find a way for your child to feel better? To truly feel better? You’d be throwing up the deuces to the guilt, worry, and anger with a big smile on your face.

The mornings, evenings, all of it would feel like butter and you’d finally release all the tears of tension

Imagine seeing your child sifting through tasks with ease, feeling more calm and grounded, feeling like they didn’t do something wrong, seeing that they’re enjoying being with you, being at home, being with their friends

That’s how it was always supposed to feel.

It’s ok to imagine your own relief in less arguments, getting home from work to actually end the evening with an epic battle on Donkey Kong, a giggle, or a snuggle instead.

Those thoughts that they will be like this forever, rear view mirror baby! You start to believe in change and healing.

AND you start to trust your own child’s ability to evolve. This wasn’t a forever thing and now you get to enjoy each other even more. Finally.

I have your back.

The nervousness, anxiousness and fear of starting your child in therapy feels so BIG. And makes complete sense, but just imagine how big the relief will feel after the fear melts.

It’s going to feel safe, comforting, and fun, like your child is exactly where they need to be each time they come to a session.

That fear of stigma, of your child being in counseling, will melt too. It will fade into the lights when you see your child starting to thrive.

Play therapy is the all in one for your child’s healing. Each session your child will have their space and time to play it out, to do the deeper work with some expertise and guidance from me sitting right beside them!

Playing it out is such a powerful option for your child and something I’m excited to offer them in such a warm and all accepting space for them, so they can heal that much more.

Not only will your child engage in play therapy, you and I will mini boost sessions each time, to give all of the healing and work a boost.

These boost sessions will help you feel on the same page and excel your child’s healing with 3x the momentum! You are and will continue to be an intricate part of their journey in healing.
